Wizard of Oz Reimagined (ART309) VISUAL DEVELOPMENT

The visual development work for my ART309 module, focused on a re-imagined Wizard of Oz universe which would be the setting of an RPG. I chose the character stream for this project where we had to design and fully render two protagonists, a villain, and an enemy/monster. Additionally, we had to create a rough concept for an environment in which a short storyboard featuring the characters will take place. I chose to base my reimagining around dark fantasy RPGs like Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Darkest Dungeon, and looked into many titles in the genre to influence my work.
I chose to create the Scarecrow and the Tin Man for my protagonists, the Wizard for the antagonist, a citizen of Emerald City as my enemy, and the Emerald City streets as my setting. I had a lot of fun with this project, refining my character work and taking a shot at designing environments and storyboarding for the first time.
